My Story

Being based in Mesquite, Texas (having lived here since 1979) - home of the Mesquite Rodeo and beautiful pastures along with the small communities surrounding it - has really influenced what I enjoy producing as art.  Equines are a very prevalent subject matter, but I do work with any subject desired.

My training is in traditional art - focused mainly on watercolors and oils with a B.A. in Visual Arts and a concentration in Studio Painting from Texas Woman's University.  I have been creating art professionally since 1999 in a wide range of styles, media, and subject matter and while I still love my time with watercolors, oil and other media, I have become very active with digital art as well.

​Currently, I have been working on:

• Available for commissioned artwork since 2015. Learn more

• Did an art piece to raise money for Australian bushfire relief and koala rehabilitation resulting from the wildfires in 2019/2020. Learn more

• Creating coloring books and providing them free of charge to rehabilitation centers, hospitals, foster care programs, and group homes as a social service project for rehab, calming activities, time passers, and art/physical therapy. Learn more

• Writing a novel using many characters which appear in my artwork. Learn more

• Streaming art creation live on Twitch (typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8 am - 11 am central time)

• Supporting my community on discord (art critiques, entertainment, games, chat, and general having a great time). Join us!

I am currently open to commission work as well as sales of pieces (originals or prints) of anything in my shop.  Feel free to contact me to discuss your project(s)!

When doing personal artworks (not commissioned or a specific project) you can generally find my love for horses has brought me to working on equine centered projects in visual art, literature, music, or animation (sometimes they all combine into one piece!)  

My personal projects currently are being done in marker, watercolor, ink, digital, and colored pencils.  Having just upgraded my studio, I am looking forward to expanding my range with the new space to include fiber, airbrush, and much larger pieces.
